Description

A vile crone residing in some remote corner of Finland, this evil witch practices some sort of dark and demonic magic to create monsters. Specifically, Snowgres, yeti-like creatures that serve as vicious henchmen for the witch that drive away or kill her enemies. They are also tasked with hunting down human victims to become the Demon Witch's next monstrous abominations. The witch herself is rarely seen, but an unlucky traveler venturing too far into the woods may catch a glimpse of the hag dressed in black, sometimes carrying a candle. Her face is grotesquely deformed and bright red in color, though it is unknown if this is her real face or a mask. Sightings of the Demon Witch are often linked to a strange ceramic talisman. Legend has it that wherever this talisman is found, the Demon Witch is near and watching. The talisman itself may even act as "eyes" for the witch.

An antagonist of The Snowgre Chronicles miniseries, the Demon Witch is responsible for the Snowgre that is hunting Nathan. Only glimpses of the witch are seen until she traps Nathan in a storage room, and triggers his horrible transformation into a new Snowgre. It is possible that the cottage Nathan rented was in fact owned by the Demon Witch all along, and it was all an elaborate trap for the unsuspecting traveler.

Trivia

  • The Demon Witch was played by three people—Natalia and Lucas for the body, and myself for the voice

  • All of the Demon Witch's lines are in Latin, and translate to "holy demons", "you are mine", and "you are now my slave, my new monster".

  • The Demon Witch started out as a joke character between my sister and I, considered separate from the more sinister version seen in the films.
