Description

Allosaurus was the apex predator of the late Jurassic period. It was the T-Rex before there was a T-Rex, smaller in size but faster, also equipped with deadlier claws. Its bite is certainly nothing to scoff at either, and it would use both of these weapons together to bring down the large herbivores of its time. It is believed that Allosaurus was a pack hunter, making it even more dangerous.

In the Top Predators timeline, several Allosaurus were created by a top secret bioweapon organization, and accidentally unleashed upon the world due to employee incompetence. They would remain a menace for years after, demonstrating their effectiveness in battle during such events as the Invasion of the Giant Brain.

In the Dinosaur Attack timeline, an Allosaurus appears once as another of Bob Bobbington's instruments of destruction. It was deployed unsuccessfully against a government drone that attacked his base.

In the Dino Duels series, the Allosaurus is the most successful combatant, earning the highest win percentage of the roster.

Trivia

  • The Allosaurus has been portrayed by two different puppets, one of which is probably not an Allosaurus at all. As such, this puppet has been recast as Albertosaurus.

  • Top Predatorsthe first one, featured what I once called an Allosaurus—but due to the repurposing of that puppet, I've decided to retcon that as an Albertosaurus.
